general guidelines

• My collection of live performances includes all broadcast performances of songs within the release cycle (see specific guidelines for track listing), whether or not the performance is dated within the release cycle.

  For instance, performances of "NoNoNo" after the release of Pink Blossom are included in the Secret Garden collection rather than the Pink Blossom collection (but one file with both "NoNoNo" and "Mr. Chu" appears in both).

• My collection also includes short accompanying interviews, first place announcements of music shows when first place was obtained, and performances of special campaign songs and covers within the release cycle.

• I try my best to keep the collection complete and up-to-date, but as with every mortal, I might have overlooked something. Please do not hesitate to contact me at popksh@gmail.com to inform me of any omissions. Ten bonus points to your House (whether Gryffindor or Slytherin) if you in addition provide me with a valid download link to the missing file.

• All files are named as

  YYYYMMDD-DESCRIPTION__7SHA1.ts
  

  where YYYYMMDD is the date of performance or broadcast, DESCRIPTION is the hyphen-delimited description (usually composed of TV station — left out for major music shows, group name, title(s) of song(s) performed or content description, e.g., "interview", or "first place"), and 7SHA1 are the first seven digits of the hexadecimal SHA-1 digest of the file. The file extension is always .ts since all my videos are in MPEG-TS containers.

  But don't be too obsessed with these, since once a group is established, quality of music loses relevance and has little to do with the "wins". In comparison, "Candy Jelly Love", released just one week earlier than "LUV", is better by an order of magnitude (and other groups' releases are worse by more orders); and although I'm reluctant to say this, I have the impression — after more than three weeks of looping — that CJL is better than any track that A Pink has ever released so far (A Pink's average quality is better than Girls' Invasion though). Call me opinionated if you'd like to, I don't really care — I've had enough formal music training ever since I was three, I know what music appeals to me and touches my heart and what doesn't (most), and I know 95% or more people are just clueless. (In case you ask: yes, I despise them, to me they are not really entitled to enjoying music, and they are polluting the music scene. Anyway, there's already enough noise-turned "music" for them. Fair enough.)
